NYCC Information

Household Waste Recycling Centres

(We have also managed to open Leeming Bar HWRC as two of the waste staff managed to safely travel to the site and assist the staff there with clearing the site)

Currently we have the following household waste recycling centres open across the County. These are;

Burniston, Malton and Norton, Northallerton, Seamer Carr, Thornton-le-Dale and Whitby

We are trying to clear snow at the following sites and are hoping that these sites will open at some point today;

Leeming Bar and Sowerby

The remaining sites on the network are unlikely to open today;

Catterick Bridge, Harrogate, Leyburn, Ripon, Selby, Settle, Skipton, Stokesley, Tadcaster, Tholthorpe, West Harrogate and Wombleton

NYCC – Changing the way we help you dispose of Hazardous Household Waste – Tell us what you think

We are asking residents for views on a number of options for future hazardous household waste service. You can find out more and tell NYCC what you think by completing a questionnaire available online at www.northyorks.gov.uk/hhwconsultation. Alternative format versions of the questionnaire are available on request from the County Council’s customer service centre on 01609 780780 or by emailing customer.services@northyorks.gov.uk

The consultation will run from 10 July 2017 until 2 October 2017.
