This letter is to inform you that North Yorkshire County Council will be undertaking road markings and road stud reinstatement on the A167, Northallerton Road, from the junction with the road to Middleton Tyas in Croft on Tees, southwards to the junction with the B1263.  The works are programmed to start on Monday 15 July 2019 and will last for 3 working days.

Due to the width of the road and the large machines we will have on site the road will be closed to all vehicles while work takes place from 9:30am to 3:30pm each working day.  Vehicle access to all properties and businesses within the closure will be possible at all times and Traffic Ambassadors will be located at each end of the closure and within the works area to assist with access.  Depending on the location of the works each day vehicles might be asked to use the diversion route to gain access.  A signed diversion will be in place via. Scotch Corner and Scorton.

The work is part of an extensive programme and as a consequence it is possible that some adjustment to this start date or the duration of the works may be necessary should unforeseen circumstances (such as significant weather events or emergencies on the highway network arise).

We request your assistance in the following ways:-

Please contact the Customer Resolution Centre on 01609 780780 to identify any special access needs you may have during the work period;

Co-operate and comply with any instructions issued by the traffic management operatives and take extra care whilst within the works area;
